Movies

Tuesday, May 30, 2006
So lately I have been doing more movie buying than watching. But then again it was May sweeps and I had to watch all the great season finales going on. Well anyway the last two nights I have actually sat down to watch a movie and both were equally impressive. On Sunday night I watched Memoirs of a Geisha. Wow what an awe inspiring movie. I loved it so much. I highly recommend this movie. Then last night I watched another movie that was really awesome. It was called Proof with Gwenyth Paltrow, Jake Gyllenhall, and Anthony Hopkins. Wow is all I can say. It was very deep but man I can't tell you how much I really enjoyed it. So hmm what to watch tonight that will be equally as awe inspiring as these were. Oh and for those you who would like to see a fun cut feel good movie rent The Prince and me 2. It was hilarious and a super cute family movie. Devan just loved watching it with me!

New Friends

Sunday, May 21, 2006
So yesterday I decided to take the chance and meet a new friend I had made online. We met through My Space, LOL. She asked to be my friend one day and I thought maybe I knew her so I accepted her invitation, LOL. Well for a few months we have been chatting back and forth. She lives in a town I frequently shop in about an hour away. So I wanted to go get some blinds for my bedroom since I plan on putting the house up on the market soon. Anywho, I decided to go there and called her up on a whim and guess what she wasn't busy. So we met. We spent a little over an hour chatting and the kids played with her daughter and her dog buddy. They had so much fun and so did we. Looks like I might have made another good friend due to the good Ol internet. Crazy how life works isn't it. Bummer part is I brought my camera but forgot to take pictures. Oh well I will next time.

The Bead Debacle

Thursday, May 18, 2006
Yeah so my day was quite interesting. I just returned from the Er. Not because someone was sick or a limb as hanging by a thread. Oh no it was becasue my wonderfully sweet four year old son Caden decided he would put a bead up his nose. Yes you read that right he STUCK a BEAD up his nose. Well after an hour of trying to get it out it was useless. It was really STUCK, LOL. So anyway, here I am writing about it. SOmetimes I wonder what kids are thinking when they do dumb things like that. Well after about a minute with a sucker thing, LOL. The doctor had it out. Yes I was embarressed but of course the even sillier thing was I asked for it so I could take a picture of it, LOL. This was the day I chose to do my challenge on. Who would have knew it would have turned out like this. So here is the bead he so lovinly stuck up his nose. Oh and the funnier part is the hospital release stating removal of foreign object from right nostril extremity, LOL.

Today I have been contimplating life in general. You know the things like why did I make this decision, or why does everything seem to come with strings attached, you know that kind of jibberish. Well after a really super heart to heart with someone I am beginng to feel is becoming a friend although we have never actually met face to face I came to realize that it is okay to wonder and ponder and make mistakes. The funny thing is that at first I was unsure where I stood with the person but after today's conversation I feel like I might just have made a life friend. That saying some people come into your life for a reason is really true. I am sure you know who you are so I am not going to say it but thanks for the talk today I think I really needed it! You helped me realize I DO have a good thing although I pretty much have always known it.

Okay so here is blog challenge number 2. Now I realize we were supposed to take a photo of something not of human nature but I chose to take a photo of my feet with my new pedicure. Now as I believe feet just aren't of human nature, LOL. In fact the person who LOVES shoes so much you would think I would love feet. But they kind of gross me out. Now I am in love with my new pedicure. I love to have fun with my toes and the girl who does them for me always has something fun up her sleeve. SO here is my photo of my pedicure taken from the angle of me looking down, LOL. Oh and BTW I also made sure I put on my matching flip flops which are also my new favorites as of late. Aren't they CUTE!

Okay so this is so Jeanne will quit bugging me, LOL. The other day after I got my haircut and colored I let my kids have fun with the camera. Although I think there must be something wrong with it as I look really big, LOL. And no it could not at all be the 36 pounds I have gained. So here is the results from the photo Shoot. The picture of Devan and I was taken by my four year old. The picture of Max and I was taken by Devan. I won't show you the others cause they are really scary, LOL.

This month I had the pleasure of working with the incredibly awesome Basic Grey Color Me Silly kit. All I can say is wow it was so much fun to work with such vibrant colors. As you can tell I am really into using the large monograms as a intrical part of my titles. Alphas are so much fin. In fact I think that they are truly my most favorite all time item in scrapbooking. You can do so much with them. One of the super things to scrapbooking is you are not limited to stick with one single font or brand. You can mix and match to fit your style and theme. I love that I can recycle some of those left overs from the packs by mixing and matching my fonts to create a really fun title and journaling affect. I was recently in a partner swap and when asked what my one favorite item was I had to say alphas. So low and behold while at CK convention she found me some of the coolest alphas I have ever seen. I am having so much fun using them. The monograms from Basic Grey are equally as fun as you can find so many ways to incorporate them in your LO's. This kit RAWKS and I highly reccommend it.
